7 Steps To Your own oasis . . .

1

   Your Bath Design

  • The design of your bathroom is usually determined by the decor and proximity to adjacent areas as well as the style of your home. Therefore, your bath will be complimentary.
  • The style of most baths today is luxurious and rivals the hotel or spa bath. We all want the comfort of a hotel bedroom and bath at home.  Developing this feel provides us with our own private retreat.
  • Developing a bath design can be your place to shine. This space can be a dramatic accent to your home decor. This may be a great place to start if you are just beginning to determine your home's design direction. As a small space, it's easy to get a feel for your design style.

   Your Bath Plan

  • Most bathroom plans are basic and usually determined by your plumbing placement.
  • Unless you want to encounter a major expense or, are still in the pre-construction or design stage, this is a major factor in your plan.
  • However, there may be room for some minor adjustments.

The Powder Room . . .

  • Your powder room can be one of the most striking spaces in your home. Usually a small space, a powder room can handle lots of drama.
  • Deep rich colors and strong accents work well.  Always include specialty items for your guests.

4

   The Hall Bath . . .

  • This bath may be more used space for general purposes, used by guests as well as family.
  • Hall baths usually encompass a larger area and can accommodate more than one person at a time. This is an essential area for families.
  •  The decor for a hall can be determined by a number of factors, including neighboring rooms as well as the connecting hallway, and definitely complimentary in decor.

5

   Adjoining Baths . . .

  • An adjoining bath is usually attached to, or between two rooms, usually bedrooms, called Jack 'n Jill Baths.
  • These could be two children's rooms or a bedroom with an adjoining home.
  • The decor is usually determined by the adjoining spaces

6

   The Master Bath . . .

  • Master Bathrooms are usually the largest baths in your home. This bath is usually located inside the Master Suite.
  • This is a private space, accessible from the bedroom area.
  • Utilizing all this space, many elements can be included: and sometimes connected to, or part of the Master Closet/Dressing Room, Laundry, etc.

   Bath Styles . . .

  • Styles and trends always change. Recent styles have been extremely simplified with white backgrounds. However, rich color tones are emerging.
  • Remember, select the style and color that make you the happiest while keeping our overall decor' or design plan in mind.  Avoid unnecessary expenses, and stick to your design goals.
  • This results in a complimentary design that works for you.
